Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic processes, using sunlight to produce beautiful and delicate blue images. Although a simple process, it allows creates opportunities for artists to think and work in complex and experimental ways, and create images from found materials.
Join us to learn about the exposure process and how to coat materials and tone your images. We will make special use of botanical materials and foliage, gathered from the gardens surrounding the studio and those you might like to bring from home, which lend themselves fantastically to cyanotype printing.
Note: If the weather gods aren't on our side, we have a UV exposure unit as a backup to help to expose our images.
