This mini woodcut workshop explores traditional relief printing using carving tools on plywood.

You'll design and carve your own woodblock, then add colour through a monoprint process—painting a background on acetate and transferring it to Japanese paper.

The carved block will then be printed over the colour, creating rich, layered images.
